Services
You are most welcome to stop by the clinic to borrow our scale, should you wish to weigh your dog. We are happy to record it to help you keep track!
Her finner du en oversikt over tjenestene vi tilbyr.
POLICY CLINIC
We try to hold consultations in sufficiently spacious premises, where both dogs and cats can move freely if necessary to get to know each other better and feel more relaxed. Here we carry out everything from routine health checks, vaccinations and ID markings to more advanced examinations.
X-RAY
We have installed one of the latest devices – digital X-ray. Now we get an image on the screen for 2 seconds. This both speeds up and improves diagnostics where X-rays are a necessary instrument. X-rays can be used for the investigation of diseases of the skeleton, heart, lungs, stomach and intestines, liver, urinary bladder, as well as tumors that can be seen on the X-ray images. With the help of a contrast medium, we get a better understanding of the condition of internal organs and the spinal cord if necessary. We use another device to take pictures of teeth, and it is installed in a room for treating teeth. X-rays are a useful tool for counting puppies in pregnant bitches or cats. We recommend doing this around day 53 of the pregnancy. Very short exposure time and modern equipment make this examination safe, quick and effective.
We performHD/ADphotography, as well as other X-ray examinations that are
recommended for special breeds, and sends the images digitally to the Norwegian Kennel Club for reading.
ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound is most often used in the examination of soft tissue disorders
Ultrasound is important in the diagnosis of e.g. uterine inflammation, urinary stones and tumors.
Ultrasound and X-ray complement each other and are often used together.
ULTRASOUND IN PREGNANCY
We also use ultrasound wood
pregnancy test.
In dogs, you can have an ultrasound four weeks after the last mating, as it is only after four weeks that you will be able to see the puppies' heartbeats.
SURGERY
We perform the most relevant surgical procedures such as castration, sterilization, caesarean section,
foreign body in the intestines, operation udder tumors and other neoplasms related to
skin, oral cavity, eyes and possibly internal organs if there is a proper intervention
perform. We carry out the necessary amputations of the toes, tail, ears of medical
causes (injury/disease). We do not operate joints, and not various fractures in the bones per i
today, but looking forward to starting it eventually.
Now we introducegas anesthesia, and it opens up opportunities for us to perform more
complicated surgical procedures in the future.
LABORATORY
We actively use our laboratory to improve the diagnosis of diseases and other conditions in our patients. Within 20 minutes we can see the most important vital parameters in the blood using our devices for hematology and biochemistry, as well as progesterone for those who need
quick assessment of this hormone.
We have the opportunity to examine urine using both microscopy and culture (determining the type of bacterial flora). We collaborate with laboratories in Germany, and send samples on for more complicated and extended diagnostics, as well as gene tests.
DENTAL TREATMENT
Regular dental check-ups are important. The annual vaccine includes a look at the teeth as part of the routine health check, but should the animal show signs of discomfort in the oral cavity on other occasions, it is important to have this examined.
With us, we carry out, among other things, the removal of tartar, the extraction of damaged or loose teeth, the extraction of retentive milk teeth and similar interventions under anaesthesia.
We have an X-ray machine adapted to take pictures of the oral cavity, and with this device can detect hidden conditions in the mouth.
It is desirable that the animal fasts for the last 8 hours before the procedure. Water can stand in the front.
PATELLA CERTIFICATE
Patellar luxation occurs in some breeds, and many breeds have in their breeding recommendation that breeding dogs be examined for patellar luxation before they are used in breeding.
Only veterinarians who have an agreement with NKK to write patellar tests can carry out the examination for posting the result in dogweb.

Veterinarian Ulrich Ohm who works with us is one of the vets certified to issue these certificates. If you need a certificate, contact us to book an appointment.
PHYSIOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION
We offer physiotherapy and rehabilitation for dogs and cats at the clinic. The treatment is carried out by physio/rehab therapist Gry Stabell Karlsen, trained at Klinikk Soleo AS.
She uses a medical laser in addition to, among other things, massage, stretching and exercise guidance.
